The launch of Healthy Start will be taking place on Friday 5th February 2010 10am - 4pm in The Mall Barnsley.

The launch will provide you with the opportunity to learn about the Healthy Start scheme which is raising awareness of breastfeeding, nutrition in pregnancy and the voucher scheme, you can exchange vouchers for; milk, fresh fruit and veg and you may be eligible for the free vitamins. All this will help give your child a healthy start to life!

What's Happening on the Day?

• Visit our exciting roadshow, which will be manned all day by health professionals from NHS Barnsley, Midwives, Children's Centre staff and the Department of Health team.
• The Healthy Start stand will be an engaging and colourful area for pregnant mums, children and families to learn more about Healthy Start and receive some free vitamins.
• Visit our FREE Healthy Start photobooth, where families can have a photo taken with their baby and will receive a magnetic photo frame to take away on the day.
• Staff will be on hand all day to give information on Healthy Start, breastfeeding, nutrition in pregnancy and where to get the vitamins in Barnsley.
• Learn about your local Children's Centres from friendly and helpful staff.
