Improving Barnsley’s health is everyone’s responsibility.
A variety of organisations have come together to support the programme
and to make sure things happen.
The whole idea of Fit for the Future is built on strong, effective
partnership working.
Good health can only be achieved through partnerships, which work
to increase education, training and employment opportunities, improve
the environment and increase opportunities for people to socialise
and live healthy lifestyles.
In addition there are an increasing number of community based
groups and projects that are having a positive impact on health
and well being.
The biggest contribution however will come from the people who
live and work in Barnsley.
